Our counts and scope notes are informed by CSA C22.1 / the Canadian Electrical Code, provincial practices, project specifications, and the bid documents. We quantify what the drawings call for and flag where they don't agree — but a takeoff is a measurement of the documents, not a compliance sign-off.

Final compliance remains subject to the project engineer, the local authority having jurisdiction (AHJ), and applicable provincial/territorial requirements. MeTiger provides estimating and coordination support — not stamped drawings, sealed engineering, or code-compliance certification — and works alongside the engineer of record where required.

Do you work from PDF or DWG drawings?

Both. Send a PDF tender set or DWG / CAD files, along with any specifications and addenda. A plan link to Dropbox, Drive, or Procore also works. We quantify from whatever set you can share and note the file version the takeoff was measured against.

Do you price the takeoff, or just count it?

By default a takeoff is quantities and counts only — no labour hours and no dollar pricing — so you apply your own labour rates and material pricing. If you would rather receive a fully priced estimate with a labour-hour summary and bid summary, we can quote that instead. You choose the deliverable before work begins.

Are the marked-up drawings included?

Yes. Every takeoff ships with colour-coded marked-up drawings so you can trace each count back to the sheet it came from and verify our numbers line by line rather than taking them on trust.

Will you sign an NDA before I share drawings?

Yes. A mutual NDA is available on request before you upload any tender documents or plan links. Your drawings and quantities are treated as confidential.
