There is no rate card and no cheap-race bidding — every project is quoted after drawing review, so the fee matches the real scope in front of us. How our quotes work

There is no public rate sheet, and that is deliberate. Electrical estimating cost depends on what the drawings actually contain, so we price each bid on its merits — a fair fee for real scope, put in writing before we start, with nothing added quietly later.

Takeoff-only support

A clean quantity takeoff by system when your team carries the pricing. You get counts and marked-up drawings and apply your own labour units and market pricing assumptions.

Full bid-ready estimate

The complete package: takeoff, material list, labour-hour summary, colour-coded marked-up drawings, assumptions, exclusions, and a bid summary you can submit with confidence.

Bid review & second set of eyes

Already have a number? We review your takeoff and scope for gaps, missed systems, and soft assumptions before you commit it to a tender.

Monthly / ongoing support

Recurring estimating capacity for busy shops — a predictable arrangement for contractors bidding steadily, scoped around your typical volume.

Rush support when available

Tight deadline? When our schedule allows, we take on rush bid sets. Rush availability and any adjustment are confirmed with your quote, never assumed.

What affects your price

With no rate card, the fee is built from the work the drawings actually call for. The main factors we weigh:

  • Number of sheets and overall drawing-set size
  • Overall project size and floor area
  • System complexity and how many electrical systems are in scope
  • Bid deadline and how much runway remains
  • Number of addenda issued during the bid
  • Whether material pricing is required or takeoff only
  • Whether colour-coded marked-up drawings are required
  • Whether a final review call is required

What a quote includes

  • A fixed fee, quoted after drawing review
  • A confirmed scope of deliverables, in writing
  • A committed delivery window before work begins
  • Documented assumptions and exclusions with the estimate
  • Reasonable clarification on the package once delivered

What a quote does not include

  • Stamped or sealed professional engineering
  • Permit drawings or permit applications
  • Authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) approval or code certification
  • Material procurement, purchasing, or supplier negotiation
  • On-site supervision or installation labour
MeTiger provides electrical estimating and coordination support — not stamped drawings, sealed engineering, or code-compliance certification. Our takeoffs are informed by CSA C22.1 / the Canadian Electrical Code and the bid documents; final compliance remains subject to the project engineer, the local authority having jurisdiction (AHJ), and applicable provincial/territorial requirements. We work alongside the engineer of record where required.

Pricing questions

How do you quote a project?
Every project is quoted after drawing review. Send the bid set, addenda, and due date; we confirm scope, deliverables, fee, and delivery window in writing before work begins. The fee reflects sheet count, project size, system complexity, and the deadline — not a rate card.
Do you have a minimum?
Smaller projects are welcome and quoted the same way as larger ones — after we see the drawings. Because the fee is scoped to the actual set, a small, well-defined bid is priced accordingly.
Do you offer rush turnarounds?
When our schedule allows, yes. Rush availability depends on current workload and set size. If we can meet the deadline, the window and any adjustment are confirmed with your quote.
Can you provide ongoing monthly support?
Yes. For contractors bidding steadily, we can arrange recurring estimating capacity scoped around your typical volume — tell us roughly how many bids you carry in a month and we will structure something predictable.
What if the scope changes after you quote?
If addenda or a revised set materially change the work, we flag the impact and reconfirm scope, fee, and window before continuing — quoted the same transparent way as the original.
